What is DHL Freight ESS story?

Since 2017 DHL’s Development center in Sofia has played a role in the biggest business transformation in DHL by developing and maintaining a comprehensive transport management system (TMS) with a successful roll-out.
By joining our team you will have the opportunity to participate in the evolution of DHL Freight’s logistics business. You will be working on a Java Enterprise solution with large bandwidth (data processing and data transfer), data reliability and security, 3rd party integration, the migration of key modules to web and observe the impact on the full life-cycle of a supply chain system. As part of our team you will receive requirements directly from key users of the product in order to ensure proper fulfillment of the company’s objectives.
For our office in Sofia, we are looking for a Java Application Support Engineer (L3). Are you the one that is tech savvy and eager to solve complex applications and OS issues? The ideal candidate for this position is proactive, self-directed team player and, most of all, passionate about quality assurance.

What will you do?

• Work in a dynamic project environment with an international team of business representatives, analysts and software engineers;
• Take ownership of escalated technical issues and perform root-cause analysis;
• Investigate, raise or assist in fixing bugs in the code.
• Develop reporting and proactive monitoring solutions;
• Document troubleshooting and problem resolution steps;

What do you need in order to fit?

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or relevant;
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting multi-layer Java enterprise applications;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Good knowledge of Java and preferable Oracle RDMS;
• Experience in monitoring applications;
• А good understanding of how complex applications and operating systems work;
• Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution;
• The ability to work well in a team;
• Problem solving skills;
• A very strong customer focus;
• The ability to prioritize your tasks;
• Attention to detail;
• Be agile.
