DACH Procurement Manager

Our current client is a leading software company that specializes in information services by supplying analytical tools and providing data and marketing services to their clients for better risk and financial management. On their behalf, we are currently looking for a DACH Procurement Manager (12 months fixed term contract), who will manage the supply chain integration in the DACH region. • Define and execute plan for integration of all JV providers into our client’s supply chain including where appropriate contract novations, due diligence, negotiation of new contracts, retendering or supplier terminations;
• Managing RFPs, auctions and contract pipelines – utilising Ariba our e-sourcing tool;
• Negotiate with suppliers ensuring that expenditure is covered by appropriate contracts and delivery of cost savings;
• Managing all escalations of contract terms to the in-house legal team;
• Supporting performance review meetings with key suppliers and business stakeholders;
• Driving process compliance and adherence to global policies ensuring best practice is adopted;
• Developing relationships and influence behaviours of internal clients and suppliers as required;
• Review of JV vendors, identification of critical suppliers in collaboration of other functions such as Global Security, Compliance and Legal;
• Review of due diligence completed to date on JV suppliers and identification of any gaps against our client’s standard processes;
• Review of JV contracts and mapping of key provisions against our client’s templates;
• Delivering departmental KPI’s as required by the business;
• Providing analysis and reporting for the countries spend as required and maintain category management documents;
• Support Global Categories Managers by identifying local business requirements and ensuring these are taken into consideration for the global category strategies;
• Working closely with the finance team to ensure good governance is maintained;
• Administering orders for suppliers in accordance with the terms agreed.

• Proven experience of working as a Procurement Manager in a fast-paced organising where driving innovation and being first to market is a priority;
• Experience buying across different categories/industries;
• Negotiation skills and business acumen;
• Politically astute, able to navigate complex matrix environments;
• Ability to analyse numerical and non-numerical data;
• Ability to manage local and global projects;
• Ability to lead and influence key relationships, internally and externally, up to senior level, up to regional and global basis, including the reporting and presentation of ideas/concepts;
• Strong administration skills and commercial awareness;
• Time management – ability to manage own time and priorities;
• Autonomous and able to work with limited guidance;
• Flexible and able to respond to changing business needs;
• Contract law – good understanding of German contractual law, including risks and drafting experience (essential);
• User of Oracle/SAP ERP systems, Ariba, Share Point (desirable, training can be provided);
• Fluent German is essential;
• CIPS qualification desirable.
