Translation Project Manager

We offer our clients quality translation services in all European and Asian languages, including translation of subtitles, video games, software localization, interface and website translation, proofreading, editing, simultaneous and consecutive translations, translation memory management, etc.

Role of the Project Manager:
The Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the completion of translation projects across various industry verticals, including ones that involve multiple foreign languages and that require value-added services, communicating with vendors, negotiating with clients, pre and post processing of files for translation;

Skills & Experience:
- University Degree (preferably in linguistic/translation related studies)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an asset
- Leadership skills
- Excellent computer skills (web technologies knowledge would be an advantage)
- Highly detail-orientated
- Multi-Tasking Skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Negotiation skills
- 2 yrs Experience in translation and localization project management would be a strong advantage
- Experience in CAT tools (Trados Studio, MemoQ, XTM, etc.) would be a strong advantage

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages translation projects.
- Identifies project requirements and scope, and estimates costs and time requirements for successful project completion.
- Pre and post processing of project documentation
- Performs administrative tasks relevant to each project (scheduling, issuing purchase orders, etc.).
- Monitor and control projects status
- Troubleshoots issues with other Project Managers and vendors.
- Follows all stipulated quality assurance procedures and resolves quality assurance issues.
- Contributes to the smooth functioning and development of the Translation Services team.
- Assists in the creation, updating and maintenance of translation memories in applicable language(s).
- Gains expertise in the usage of CAT tools (Trados Studio, MemoQ, XTM, etc.)
- Continually works to improve upon client relationship management skills including:
- Taking the client’s long-term goals into consideration.
- Educating the client on internal procedures and linguistic/technological issues.
- Managing client expectations.
- Proposing possible solutions (technological, linguistic and organizational) for handling projects.
