Technical Business Analyst

Minerva’s European Development Center is based in Sofia, Bulgaria and is part of Minerva Networks. Job Description

If you are excited to play an integral role in creating leading solutions for television and Over-the-top experience, used by millions of people all over the World, Minerva has an opportunity for you.
We are looking for a technical business analyst who, as part of the Engineering team, will work with the architects, product owners and engineers to provide solutions for next generation TV and video services experience on various platforms such as televisions, mobile phones and tablets, PCs and other consumer electronics devices.

What you will do
• Performing system analyses on software systems, applications, and web services
• Elaborate detailed product requirements
• Translate requirements and architecture into stories
• Elaborate acceptance criteria for stories
• Bring good product and systems understanding, and advise the Scrum team on Requirements Analysis, Scope, MVP, Stories and Prioritization.
• During Sprints, provide everyday requirements and solutions support to the scrum team
• Suggest opportunities for improvement
• Conduct analysis into a number of activities including sprint planning and backlog grooming, and recommend next actions and decisions to the scrum teams
• Improve systems by studying current practices; system capabilities;
• Conduct insightful, ad hoc analysis to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues

What you need for this position
• Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, particularly Agile/Scrum frameworks
• Good understanding of client server architectures and client facing interfaces
• Be pro-active
• Strong knowledge of English language - both written and spoken
• Excellent analytical skills. Must be able to break complex concepts and ideas into specific requirements and executable tasks
• Excellent communication skills. Strong verbal and writing skills with the ability to express clearly, concisely and unambiguously.
• Effective in interfacing with product managers, architects and software developers and quality assurance engineers to ensure clean execution in delivering quality products
• Ability to develop strong relationships across cross-functional development teams
• Attention to details and ability to multitask
• Adept at dealing with conflicting priorities or opinions. Must be able to bring people together around a common vision and approach.
• Understanding of software architecture and sw design is a plus

Required Experience
• BA or BS degree required
• 5+ years’ experience with information technology or software development
• 3+ years in a product owner/business analyst role
• Background in defining and documenting software requirements
• Experience in software development is a plus
