Due to the rapid growth and expansion of company operations, currently we are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Chief Accountant & Payroll.
You will plan, organize and manage the accounting and reporting activities of the company, supporting operational teams and providing solutions to financial related issues.

Chief Accountant & Payroll


  • Processing of primary accounting documents (invoices, protocols, stock bills, etc.) according to all accounting standards;
  • Ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Maintain accounting books and records in accordance with the requirements set out by the Bulgarian Legislation
  • Preparation of the monthly VAT reports and declarations;
  • Participates in the preparation and completion of annual tax returns
  • Support day-to-day accounting, finance, banking activities;
  • Responsible for VAT and other obligatory tax and statistical reporting
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Perform regular or ad hoc financial reports and analysis (Tax declaration, VAT declaration, Income taxes, annual financial statements, etc.) in a timely manner;
  • Preparing and submitting of internal and external reports;
  • Implementation of the activity in terms of financial planning and analysis and active participation in the preparation of the annual budget;
  • Communication with regulatory/administrative bodies related to the accounting and local reporting activities on a regular basis;
  • Maintaining standing data and processing variable data to ensure accurate calculation and timely payment of net salaries and deductions, including social security deductions and taxes;
  • Net to gross/gross to net calculations;
  • Processing vacation and sick-leaves;
  • Preparing payroll tax, social security and other statutory returns associated with the payroll function and legal practice in Bulgaria
  • Communicating with the tax, social security and other authorities.
  • Consults employees in regards with their remuneration
  • Follows and checks the presence forms, worked hours and compensations together with the department managers.


  • University Degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • Overall experience in Accounting at least 5 years;
  • Good knowledge of National Accounting Standards and tax regulations;
  • Professional experience with preparation of reports for management;
  • Deep knowledge of local accounting standards, tax legislation and their application;
  • Previous experience in the payroll administration;
  • Knowledge on personal income taxation, social security and employment related legislation
  • Consistency, accuracy, and thorough with an eye for details;
  • Very good command of spoken and written English language;
  • PC literacy in Microsoft office and accounting software.
  • Professional experience with SAP is an advantage;
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, strong team player.
