IT Solution Specialist | Network - Security

Summary

In this role, you are a key player in the relationship among all of the IT areas and external partners, including projects and applications teams. The Solution Specialist is the expert and reference of the Network / Security domain.

Main Responsibilities

Along with the below listed responsibilities, the employee should conduct any other business related to the function as required by his supervisor.

Must guarantee service operations and continuous improvement of production/application/ infrastructure services; to reconcile project management, customer satisfaction, and contract compliance with economic reality.

Day to day activities

- Automation is promoted and used as much as possible
- Global workload automation in a hybrid infrastructure
- Central interface to design and schedule simple and complex Workflows
- On-demand job service request from Service Now
- Job execution history: Job runtime and status for the past year
- Manages priorities of the evolution of the solution
- Manages changes, new requirements, and documentation of your solution
- Makes proposals and provide information to support decision making concerning the solution
- Subject Matter Expert (Network)
- Ensures the documentation of the solution is up to date
- Performs a permanent inventory and manages the different components
- Monitors and analyzes performance, implements measures likely to improve the quality or productivity
- Monitors, controls, and supports service delivery; ensuring systems, methodologies, and procedures are in place and followed
- Ensures excellent communication and collaboration between Applications and Infrastructures teams
- Documents promote and controls his scope
- Responsible for Load Balance support
- Ensures inventories/CMDB is accurate

Processes

- Ensures the incident and problem management process are correctly applied
- Ensures documentation is in place for all moves in/to production
- Monitors incidents, organize identification of the root cause, coordinate actions to restore services
- Continuous improvement
- Develops Left Shifting approach with monitoring teams (L1 & L2)
- Facilitates and implement automation as possible
- Develops the rules for using the systems, following the norms and standards of the company
- Proactively supports the opportunity for standardization and simplification of the support processes, to increase efficiency within the organization.
- Ensures that the support model of the service is operational and adapted
- Takes corrective/proactive actions whenever required
- Ensures processes, best practices, and golden rules alignment and adoption based on guidelines
- Proactively drives opportunity for standardization, simplification, and improvement of the IT support processes, to increase efficiency within the IT organization to deliver better services.
- Proactively drives legacy management, security vulnerability recovery, and DRP testing.

Security Activities

- Day to day operation of the in-place security solution.
- Identification, investigation, and resolution of security breaches detected by those systems.
- Implementation of new security solutions
- Participation in the creation and or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments.
- Certificate management

Experiences

- Proven experience in Solution Management in the network/security services domain (5 to 7 Years)
- Experience on Network Advanced Maintenance Support in a very diverse IT landscape
- Knowledge of Datacenter infrastructure technologies
- Proven experience in production environments / critical operations
- ITIL Foundation certified
- Desire to develop himself more in the Security domain aspects.
- Passion for network technology and a service-oriented mindset is a must

Technical knowledge:

- LAN – Cisco Nexus, ACI
- WIFI – Aruba
- WAN – MPLS, Internet, SDWAN
- WAN Optimization – Riverbed
- Azure Cloud network – UDR / Load Balancer
- Network assets delivering security features - Proxy / FW / WAF / VPN GW
- Cisco CCNP certification is a strong plus
- CompTIA Security+ (nice to have)
- GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (nice to have)
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator: Security (nice to have)
- CISSP / Associate of (ISC)2 (nice to have
- Apache/Tomcat/Jboss/WildFly/IIS/DotNet (as nice to have)

- Experience with Global environments
- Availability to work out of business hours when necessary

- Capable of working on multiple projects or tasks in parallel
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Analytic and big picture capabilities in problem-solving approaches

Required Languages: English (Fluent)

Required Education: Master degree (or equivalent) in a related field
