About us

Axpo Bulgaria EAD is an energy trading company, established in 2006 as a subsidiary of the Swiss Axpo Group. In 2011 Axpo established an Operational center in Sofia which carries out activities supporting Electricity and Natural Gas trading across the whole of Europe.

Due to the rapid growth and extension of our trading activities, we are currently looking for experienced and highly motivated professional to join our Finance & Business Support team in the position of Accountant.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:
  • Enter and post all documents in the accounting system in time and in compliance with the applicable legislation and the internal rules
  • Ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Prepare initial draft of local monthly and quarterly reports to the relevant authorities 
  • Assist in the process of monthly and annual reporting for local and Swiss financial year 
  • Assist in the corporate budget process
  • Provide overall support for the ongoing audit procedures and inspections
  • Interact with the all relevant departments of Axpo Group, Customs, and all local tax authorities
What you need to have:
  • University degree in Finance and Accounting
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the area of accounting
  • ACCA certification
  • Experience with bank guarantees
  • Good knowledge of accounting standards IFRS 
  • Up-to-date knowledge in Local Tax and Labour Legislation, Customs regulations as well as the ability to keep up with all the changes in these respective areas
  • Very good computer knowledge – MS Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV would be considered as a strong advantage)
  • Very good command of the English language (both written and verbal)
  • Very good analytical and communication skills
