Team Leader AML

The Digital AML Team is primarily responsible for conducting detailed investigations of GVC Group Digital/Multi Channel United Kingdom (UK) customers to detect potential money laundering risks and reviewing customers and incidents where risk triggers are identified or internal thresholds are met. These investigations are conducted to ensure that the customer can legitimately support their levels of play and that there are no clear risks factors in their profile. This is a requirement that aims to reduce the business risk and impact of those customers who are either not willing or able to justify their source of funds as well as being able to prevent the use of the proceeds of crime.

The Team Lead will be responsible for the continuous development and motivation of those team members based in Sofia. Coordinate, distribute, organize and prioritize workload appropriately to ensure efficient meeting of deadlines. Monitor daily tasks of the team to maintain a good standard of performance and quality through applying company’s policies. Contribute to the development and monitoring of company anti money laundering/counter terrorist financing processes and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Main:
  • Assign, allocate and prioritize daily tasks within team members, set or negotiate deadlines and completion dates, and monitor progress to ensure completion and meeting of deadlines efficiently;
  • Assist the Team Manager with proactively optimising, managing and maintaining an effective Quality and Assurance Process; to conduct regular QA on AML customer investigative reviews and AML processes; to provide feedback and advice to colleagues and relevant Managers.Identify training needs and prepare development plans;
  • Enable and facilitate successful implementation of HR policies and group objectives;
  • Prepare work schedule and monitor individuals’ attendance to ensure adequate staffing aligned with the resource availability and workload (current and expected);
  • Carry out the yearly performance appraisals for the team members and provide feedback on the same in conjunction with the AML Team Manager (UK);
  • Maintain effective communication flow, acting upon and passing on relevant information to and from the team;
  • Coordinate the team’s contribution and participation to all AML Customer Intelligence Reviews undertaken as well as  internal and external audits;
  • Ensure that all standard operating procedures are followed and ensure that all current and new team members are trained in order to maintain a good standard of performance and quality;
  • Liaise with other GVC/LCG AML Teams, Responsible Gambling and Account Security Teams  to ensure that the SOFs from our customers have not originated from the proceeds of crime.
Occasional:
  • Provide monthly feedback on team performance, when requested
Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Proven experience of detailed, investigative and analytical working practices.
  • English language knowledge at a business level;
  • Excellent communication, networking and conflict management skills;
  • Proven skills in complex problem solving, judgment, critical thinking and decision making;
  • Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness;
  • Able to work on own initiative and to challenge processes where improvements could be made.
  • Self-motivation and ability to motivate others;
  • Ability to perform well under tight deadlines within a dynamic environment;
  • Proven aptitude to work in a team, as well as guide and influence others;
  • Proactive, flexible and stress resistance personality;
  • Ability to effectively deliver feedback;
  • Bachelor’s Degree
Desired:
  • Previous experience of working within an AML environment in the online gambling industry
  • Recognised AML qualification;
  • Good command of Microsoft office tools;
