IT Administrator

IT Administrator’s role will be primarily responsible to request new user accounts and changes on existing accounts. The person will support also the Sysadmins in installing/managing and maintaining computers, servers, and telephony, network systems to ensure stable operations of TEK’s IT assets. The individual will help also to ensure the integrity and stability of Voice, Data as well as the VPN connection of internal network and partner’s access. Maintain a high level of information security.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for requesting approvals for new accounts
  • Responsible to submit tickets for new accounts
  • Responsible to submit archiving requests for existing accounts
  • Responsible to maintain a database with all records for new and existing accounts
  • Responsible to coordinate the delivery of physical cards to the sites
  • Responsible to drive internal and external communication in regards to the account creation process
  • Responsible to maintain the account request process and documentation
  • Coordinate with System Admins at other sites to resolve problems and faults
  • Provide Technical and non-technical support for other teams
  • Ensure all IT Global policies/standards and procedures are in place and document new standards/procedures which are particularly applied to his/ her site
  • Conduct Daily/ Weekly and Monthly System Health checklist
  • Monitor and Utilize Internet Links and SIP providers
  • Follow Change control management while implementing system changes, upgrades, and updates
  • Manage LAB and testing environments
  • Managing Backup/Restore file sharing, SharePoint and database systems

Health Safety Security Environment

  • Maintain safety standards in the working environment that comply with TEK and partner’s standards and policies
  • Ensure that all servers are protected by the latest anti-virus software

Skills and Competencies

  • Process-oriented person
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • General knowledge of server and client systems hardware.
  • O365 / Messaging applications – Exchange, Lync, Sharepoint (will be considered as an advantage)
  • Additional knowledge in cloud technologies will be considered as an advantage
  • IT Service Management for Incident, Change and Request Management
  • Capable of being self-managed
  • Team player

Education and Experience

  • Extensive personal (or professional) experience in computing and technology
  • Degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field will be considered a strong advantage
  • ITIL v3 or ISO20000 will be considered as an advantage
  • MCSA, CCNA certification or higher will be considered as an advantage
