Service Transition Manager

Purpose of this function:
  • Ensures coordination of all operational tasks for the transition of services and projects into production
  • Acts as a single point of contact for all demands, projects and hot fixes on questions about operation and maintenance of services and applications (all environments)

Main Tasks (sorted by importance):
  • Designs and maintains service processes (Delivery, Deployment, Monitoring, Asset Management for Hardware, Software, Middleware, Interfaces, Network, phones, including definitions for capacity & availability management and governance and regulatory measurements)
  • Supports Definition of services (hardware, software, middleware, interfaces, network, telephones) by managing the Service Design Process
  • Ensures recognition of changes in operations and ensures that those changes are managed into service updates, SLAs and OLAs prior to GoLive
  • Defines control and measurement points of services and related service processes
  • Continuously reviews and further develops services and service/ change processes (e.g. “lessons learned”)
  • Supports transferring requests and offers into a standard service catalog
  • Defines transition process for infrastructure and software to production environment and ensures operational readiness of all services (defined Quality Gate, including monitoring, capacity management, performance and security)
  • Manages Service GoLive, Application Deployments and Rollouts related to Minor and Major Releases
  • Leads small technical projects (Update of operating systems, Middleware systems, etc.)
  • Is responsible for sign off for quality gates within the transition process and ensures the operational readiness (incl. Technical release notes)
  • Ensures transformation of architecture requirements into infrastructure scope and requirements and ensures support of architecture in the differentiation of infrastructure scope and requirements from IT requirements
  • certified in both:
    - ITIL® Intermediate Level - Lifecycle Stream: Service Strategy
    - ITIL® Intermediate Level - Lifecycle Stream: Service Design
    - ITIL® Intermediate Level - Lifecycle Stream: Service Transition
    - ITIL® Intermediate Level - Lifecycle Stream: Service Operation
    - ITIL® Intermediate Level - Lifecycle Stream: Continual Service Improvement
    - ITIL® Intermediate Level - Capstone: Managing Across The Lifecycle
    - ITIL® Expert

Language requirements: 
  • German – B2, C1 (nice to have)
  • English – C1
  • Other languages like Slovak, , Russian, Bulgarian are nice to have but not a requirement
