International Financial Controller

Pentagon Interactive is part of an international group of companies with offices in Europe and Asia. We offer an end-to-end solution that enables brands and retailers to accelerate their online growth through 50+ global marketplaces. We specialise in international trading, managed services and marketplace integrations using our own technology.

We are hiring Financial Controller who will analyse figures and results, provide reports and advise on the best path to business growth and profitability, as well as local and international compliance. It requires extensive knowledge of different financial areas as well as business and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare annual budgets, monthly and quarterly forecasts, coordinate and collaborate with involved commercial and technology teams, monitor, analyse and report variances;
• Confirm expenses against budgets and contracts;
• Monitor and update cash flows;
• Cooperate closely with accounting team and oversees billing process, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost allocation and intra-group transactions;
• Ensure quality control of financial reporting and transactions, develop and implement proper internal control procedures;
• Coordinate monthly and year-end closing processes, supports preparation of financial statements;
• Prepare variety of regular and ad-hoc reports;
• Comply with local and international regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies, ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns, declarations and reports to authorities;
• Communicate with service providers, auditors, banks and other financial institutions as needed;
• Proactively advise and participate in improvement initiatives, automation and optimization projects;
• Maintenance of financial documentation, financial information and knowledge sharing over the company collaboration tools and databases.

Requirements:

• Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related studies;
• At least 3 years of experience on a similar position;
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS and experience with preparation of financial statements
• Profound Excel literacy, excellent accounting software or ERP skills;
• Experience with international trade (imports, exports, customs, VAT and duty management, etc.);
• Business acumen, analytical thinking and high attention to detail, critical and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent command of English, both verbal and written;
• Confident, with solid communication skills and ability to operate in a rapidly changing environment;
• Positive contribution to the team working culture.
