Role Description

The Cyber Forensic Investigator is responsible for delivering operational services to outsourcing accounts on time, on target with quality. He/she works on 24×7 rotation. The Cyber Forensic Investigator focuses on continuous operations, incident, change and problem management of all supported accounts. The main goal is to investigate and resolve all security incidents and minimize the security risk, vulnerabilities in the customer's production environment to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction. He/she works in close relationship with other teams and is under direct supervision by the team Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for analyzing outputs from various technologies in order to effectively investigative security incidents.
  • Complete and keep up to date with all Mandatory trainings. (ITSM, Security Fundaments, Standards of Business Conduct, Environmental Health and Safety, Standards of Personal Conduct and others applicable)
  • Build strong working relationship with Team Technology Lead, Account Support Team representative and Capability support and technology, Security teams
  • Good awareness of the customers’ business and in-depth knowledge of the customer’s environment and support processes
  • Complying with the ITIL standards by observing the Incident Management lifecycle processes.
  • Travel to client site or data centers based on the size and scope of the security incident.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal documentation standards; also accountable for updating the documentation
  • Provide technical consultation to the Team Technology Lead / Account Support Team representative and Capability support and technology teams
  • Assume ownership of escalated reported incidents and coordinate activities with Security Operations Center (SOC) in support of incident investigations.

Key Skills and experience required:

  • University Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent certifications (CHFI, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security +, GCIH, GREM, GCFA).
  • Preferably 7+ years’ experience within Security Services or infrastructure services support (Systems NT, UX, Storage, Backups, DB’s or Network management), operations monitoring and end user support.
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ hands-on technical knowledge of analyzing event logs/system logs, from Windows Operating Systems, Unix/Linux Operating Systems, Cisco PIX/Switches/Routers, Wireshark/Ethereal network dumps.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT Operations, infrastructure services support (Systems NT, UX, Storage, Backups, DB’s or Network management), security incident and security processes
  • Excellent understanding of ITSM/ITIL processes
