Technical Lead

Technical Lead is a senior software engineer, who is technically leading the project and the  team assigned to it. Does analysis, architecture, design, implementation, unit testing and documentation according to the software development process of new or existing applications. Ensure software quality and non-functional requirements like security, performance, availability and scalability. Transfers knowledge by technical training, technical guidance and doing peer reviews. Is the main technical contact for other teams and business. Support and consults business on technical topics. Supports process improvement.

Your arena:
  • Design solution architecture of the project based on the business requirements
  • Design and build architecture of new or existing software components, review and suggest improvements
  • Shapes and scopes all appropriate analysis and planning activities on the project, including the detailed output documentation required, providing realistic estimations for the whole initiative and break down of work packages
  • Act as a first technical contact person for the assigned project and report on the progress as required
  • Implement standards for delivery of the project across the team
  • Ensures high quality of the software deliverables
  • Ensures technical review is done and non-functional requirements (NFRs) are considered
  • Produces and maintains technical documentation for the projects
  • Close cooperation with test engineers to ensure quality of the product.
  • Mentors and coaches team members
  • As member of the team do hands on programming
  • Ensures roll-out preparation and roll-outs are executed properly
  • Supports Product management team in shaping new product ideas
  • Supports Managers
  • Ensures team knowledge is efficiently shared and reused.
Your entrance ticket:
  • Expert in some of the key technologies used by the company (.NET, Angular, Streaming and Messaging solutions - Kafka/Tibco, MS SQL Server, Redis)
  • Expert in a wide range of components from the overall software architecture
  • Able to quickly derive solution scenarios based on the available information and requirements
  • Analysis, specification and validation of requirements for software.
  • Understands the different type of requirements (customer, functional, performance, design, derived and allocated requirements)
  • Know how to design software under consideration of various aspects (like scalability, performance, maintainability, reliability, reusability, security, usability, etc.).
  • Expert in developing software in required language (.net c#, asp.net, java, etc.) to meet the requirements.
  • Know how to write maintainable (commented), efficient/performing (memory, etc.), reliable (proper exception handling, etc.) and robust (clear interfaces and no runtime errors) code.
  • Know how to create white box tests (unit tests incl. Mock-up) and ensure required code coverage.
  • Understands the metrics of software (e.g. Cyclomatic complexity, code coverage, etc.) and know how to analyse (e.g. Ndepend, Fortify, FXCop) and optimize/refactor code.
  • Understands the Software Configuration Management incl. the configuration control, the build management, the development and delivery process and how teamwork is done via the source control system (GIT) and task tracking tool (Version One) as well as how defect tracking is done.
  • Understands the Scrum/Agile development processes
  • Highly competent in troubleshooting complex incidents or problems
  • Competent in identifying and troubleshooting performance problems
  • Guides adoption of new technologies
  • Sports Betting domain knowledge is desired
  • Able to handle several demanding projects concurrently
  • Able to assess relevance of information as well as target audience
  • Able to clearly and proactively communicate with stakeholders and team members – progress updates, changes, risks, impediments, improvements
  • Ability to share knowledge efficient and effective by presentations
  • Proactive way of working; proactively addresses problems and tries to solve them
  • Be able to build up a network with other developer and engineers from other departments as well as other experts to know who to ask for support
  • Able to utilise capabilities of team members effective and efficient. Technically coach employees to solve problems and keep focused.
