Project Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Sensata Technologies is currently seeking a Program/Project Manager (PM) to lead teams in new product development from concept to production, lead change management projects, and lead cost reduction initiatives. This individual will be an integral member of our rapidly growing HVOR group. The ideal candidate must possess the ability to execute business plans and strategies through effective planning, strategy development, and operational tactics. The company is looking for a strong business / program management professional ideally with an engineering background and a demonstrated track record for program execution, operations management, customer management, and profit improvement. The Program/Project Manager must be an effective leader of cross-functional, global teams. Additionally, this individual must be able to effectively leverage global teams to drive execution to the committed goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Change Management (CM) projects for design, supplier, or manufacturing changes;
- Plan and lead cost reduction projects to achieve financial goals;
- Summarize NPD financial business case including cash flow analysis, revenue roadmap, capital planning, resources required, and cost reduction roadmap to finalize project plan for NPD launch;
- Manage and ensure discipline with the NPD and Change Management processes, tools, metrics, and schedule to achieve committed business case;
- Drive continuous improvement of the Sensata NPD process;
- Lead cross-functional team during a critical customer issue;
- Plan needed production capacity and ensure equipment / tooling strategy is in place; ensure supplier capacity is also in place;
- Running meetings to achieve needed results, presenting to management and customers.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Engineering (preferred) or Business Management;
- 2 or more years of experience in NPD/CM Programor Project management;
- Experience leading new product development teams;
- Experience with developing and executing program plans including scope, schedule, commercial impact, manufacturing strategy, and quality commitment;
- Working knowledge of basic finance (e.g. income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) and business case assessment through discounted cash flow analysis;
- Proficiency with MS Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Strong ability to analyze data and understand trends;
- Detail oriented with a process mindset to improve execution of business processes;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- 10% travel is required (domestic and international).
Preferred requirements include:
- Project Management (PMP) training and Accreditation;
- Six Sigma training and understanding;
- Lean training and understanding;
- Familiarity with ISO9001, TS16949 quality system requirements;
- Understanding of AIAG core tools;
- Experience with common tools and systems: APQP, PPAP, 8D, Run at Rate, Launch Controls, Risk Assessments, FMEA, Control Plan.
