Department Overview

The Change and Problem Management team offers and supports the process framework for the organization as a whole. The team provides technology and process systems to enhance safety and consistency throughout the organization.


Job Overview

As a member of the Change Management team, you will play a key role in ensuring policy and procedure. The analyst will be an important player across Global Engineering and with senior business stakeholders.

The primary responsibilities of the role will be creating and executing change management strategies to enable safe and successful implementations, and guiding problem management efforts as a part of the broader cycle of change management.

This person leverages personal experience with change management to guide participants to safer outcomes. He/she has an interest in learning about the technologies and tools used by the company, in order to play a more complete role in successful changes. He/she will have to work through many others in the organization to succeed. The change management analyst will provide direct support and coaching to managers and their engineers as they participate in preparing changes. The analyst will also support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
  • Support communication efforts
  • Complete change management assessments
  • Assist engineers to identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Support and engage senior leaders
  • Coordinate efforts with team members at various levels of seniority
  • Manage stakeholders
  • Track and report issues
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Support change management at the organizational level
  • Manage the change portfolio
 
Requirements
  • 3-7 years of experience in a change management role
  • ITIL Foundation and/or Practitioner certification or commensurate experience required
  • Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
  • Strong experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
