Business Development Lead

Abraxa is an ambitious technological company with the goal of bringing the shipping industry into the 21st century. We are a funded start-up developing a revolutionary B2B SaaS. Role summary:
The Business Development lead will have to take charge of raising product awareness, attracting new clients and turning opportunities into successful deals, all the while developing and optimizing sales processes in the long run for further additions to the team.


Main responsibilities:
  • Design and implement a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer database;
  • Identify new international markets and potential customers;
  • Maintain a full lifecycle sales process - from lead generation to closure;
  • Guide customers trough the sales funnel and consistently improve conversion rates;
  • Stay focused on the targets and implement a systematized and disciplined approach to achieving them;
  • Keep the CRM up to date;
  • Recruit, lead and train sales team;
  • Boost the visibility and  product awareness via marketing activities;
  • Attend conferences or other industry events;
  • Implement various startegies to increase inbound traffic to the website and product pages;
  • Develop and measure KPIs for improving the team performance.

To win in this role, you need:
  • Bachelors or equivalent degree in a business, technical, or related field;
  • Creativity and eagerness to develop marketing startegies;
  • Self-motivation and ambition;
  • Adaptability (it’s a fast-paced environment);
  • Strong business acumen;
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deliver outstanding presentations;
  • Proven ability to drive the full sales process;
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills, quality-oriented proposal writing and proposal management experience;
  • Willingness to undertake a large amount of business travel;
  • Experience in selling enterprise software is an advantage; technical acumen and understanding of software or infrastructure are preferred.
