Sourcing Manager (Senior Buyer)

On behalf of our client, an international company which is a recognized leader in cargo and load handling solutions around the world, we are currently seeking bright professional for the role Sourcing Manager (Senior Buyer).


Purpose of the Position:

Deliver Source-to-Receipt sub-process services together with the sourcing team and in alignment with corporate and business area procurement as well as customers´ needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for executing sourcing project requests from customers, vendors and colleagues;

·         Active member of the Source-to-Receipt functional area;

·         RFX process management and/or supporting tasks, contract creation, extension, termination, management & admin; manage supplier performance for defined suppliers;

·         Supplier identification, market analysis, specification creation and analysis, tail spend management, value tracking, and sourcing and analytics support;

·         Execute low value sourcing projects and spot buys;

·         Support Solution Owners, Process Owners as well as corporate and business area procurement in continuous improvement and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures of the Core Business Services;

·         Build and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders and corporate and business area procurement as well as within own team and other process teams;

·         Deliver service in line with agreed controls and procedures;

·         Act as 1st line of contact with organization via calls, chat e.g. document and follow up all employee inquiries, issues and transactions;

·         Identify process improvements: Suggest methods to update, simplify, and enhance processes, procedures and technologies;

·         Recognize unusual events or consistent problems and work with the team leader to resolve issues;

·         Ensure customers are satisfied to maintain a positive brand image for the Core Business Services;

·         Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accurate;

·         Ensure data is accurate in company systems;

·         Be part of building up the Source-to-Receipt area in the Services in close cooperation with the project team;

·         Participate in transition activities when applicable - support the functional workstream, support the transition of processes incl. knowledge transfer and work shadowing;


·         At least 5 years of experience in the Source-to-Receipt area, in particularly related to sourcing and/or category management, preferably indirect procurement. Understanding of entire Source-to-Receipt area will be considered as an advantage;

·         Strong sourcing process execution knowledge (RFX processes, auctions, requirements gathering and collection), understanding of pricing models, contracting support execution;

·         Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and communicational skills. Knowledge in budget, cost and performance management;

·         Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PPT), Google Office tools is an advantage;

·         Full professional proficiency of written and oral English required;

·         Bachelor degree in finance or business will be considered as an advantage;

·         Experience in contracting and vendor management;

·         Strong influencing and negotiation skills;

·         Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines;

·         Accuracy, excellent analytical skills, attention to details;
