Talent Development Specialist

Role Summary:

The Talent Management team’s vision is to improve our employee’s working lives by upskilling and providing greater career development opportunities than any of our competitors in the technology space.

The Talent Management team is part of a wider HR department and will work in conjunction with our HR leaders across different regions driving the talent strategy forward whilst always evangelising our approach.

This is a strategic role working closely with Interoute’s management teams across the organisation and partnering closely with the Manager of Talent Management & Development in driving the Talent & Learning strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive and implement the Talent/Learning strategies set by the Director and Manager of Talent Management & Development.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills up to Senior Manager/Director level providing them with advice on learning strategies for their teams.
  • Develop Learning Pathways across all department in the organisation by partnering with department managers and HR BPs.
  • Support the Manager, TMD on all Vendor relationships whilst partnering with the procurement team driving cost management and contract management.
  • Co-ordinate and set up external training sessions for departments/employees.
  • Partner with the HR BP in providing them support/guidance on Learning contents available on the LMS.
  • Support the Manager, TMD for Group New Starter Inductions looking to consolidate a single approach for all across the company.
  • Management and design of Learning pathways for all departments utilising E-Learning, External Training, Mentoring, Shadowing and Coaching Schemes.
  • Review and recommend new Learning approaches, content, techniques as part of the evolution of the Talent and Learning function.
  • Analyse and review external coaching sessions from both the employees’ experience and vendors whilst maintaining quality assurance.
  • Work closely with the Manager, Talent Management & Development in implementing metrics/dashboards to track success.
  • Manage the Learning records of employees and courses attended. Flag and work with management to raise any issues that arise.
  • Manage and promote the internal mentoring/shadowing/coaching schemes undertaking training for mentors & mentees’ up to VP/Director Level.
  • Become the subject matter expert for all LMS content whilst always looking to improve or change our approach.
  • Oversee and management of the LMS system.
  • Work with the Manager, TMD in analysing Talent Pools and prioritising development pathways for those employees to engage and retain our best people.
  • Help Co-ordinate New Starter Inductions.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong stakeholder management up to Senior Manager/Director level with excellent communications skills.
  • Experience Reporting or creating relevant Dashboard’s to track success rates.
  • Excellent understanding of Talent framework utilising both e-learning, external training and mentoring tools in upskilling our people.
  • Excellent understanding of LMS, reporting metrics and Content providers.
  • Excellent Vendor Management & Contract administration.
  • Excellent Planning and building Learning Pathways and Structure utilising E-Learning, External Training and Mentoring schemes.
  • Must have the attitude of always asking yourself Why and How we can improve.

Qualifications/Courses:

  • Relevant HR qualifications/degrees or relevant work experience.

Hours/Travel/Shift:

  • Normal business hours & 20% - 30% Travel per month.
