Development Team Manager

Tek Experts provides professional technical and IT outsourcing services, and we take intense pride in helping companies handle their business operations. Due to expansion, we are hiring Development Team Manager for our Professional Services Division.

The Development Team Manager of Professional Services will be responsible for the overall management of a team of 30+, providing execution on various software projects. You will be responsible for ensuring software implementations and consulting services meet client and end customers’ needs.

Roles and responsibilities
• Build and manage a team who are responsible for providing an array of professional technical services within quote to cash cloud based technologies SME and enterprise blue chip customers, throughout the world
• Manage, motivate and drive a highly technical team including but not limited to the following types of staff: Technical Architects, Solution Architects, Business Analysts and Developers to meet client business needs
• Participate in the recruitment, hiring and onboarding, training and personal development activities of the team
• Effectively lead assessments and performance evaluations for the team
• Responsible for administrative tasks related to the operations such as the day-to-day scheduling of the operational staff availability, holiday/weekend coverage and resource planning
• Management of staff performance incentives to ensure the team meets the agreed SLAs/ KPIs with the client and Tek Experts
• Ensure the team utilization is within/above expected targets
• Participate in critical day-to-day operational issues, remove and resolve barriers for the team and resolve complex technical issues with end customers, if needed
• Review key project deliverables and participate in project milestone meetings, when needed
• Ensure projects, initiatives and tasks are completed in a timely and professional manner, which meets or exceeds client expectations by the team and him/ herself when acting as an expert on a project
• Acting as escalation point of contact for the client and the end customers
• Report on projects and company performance, metrics and analytic data
• Ensure that the team provide status, progress and potential delay information to Professional Services team members
• Lead and support cross company/client communications to ensure smooth operations
• Other tasks as required by the management of the company

Skills and competencies/education
• 5+ years of business experience with at least 2+ years of people management skills,
• Experience of leading a team of 30+ staff
• Master degree in Computer Science/ Information Technologies/ Telecommunications or equivalent
• Background in cloud services and/or telecommunications and/or applications support
• Experience implementing Salesforce.com or relevant CRM solution. Microsoft Dynamics solutions experience is an advantage
• Experience with agile project management, with solid understanding of milestones, deliverables and resource utilization
• Ability to travel (approx. 30% of time) to support clients’ projects, where needed
