Main responsibilities:
• Preparation and processing of manual journals in order to ensure the GL is reflective of all relevant transactions for inclusion into P&L account and balance sheet in the reporting period. Ensure the manual journal is with the proper back up, signed off as per the authorization matrix and included in the monthly journal log.
• Reconciliation of the assigned balance sheet accounts within the deadlines as per the accounting policy.
• Ensure all reconciling items are cleared in a timely manner. Monitor and escalate aging issues on a monthly basis.
• Preparation of trial balance. Preparation of Profit and Loss report. Monthly/quarterly fluctuation analysis. Financial reporting in accordance with US/French GAAP and internal policies. Respond to group accounting queries resulting from the analytical review.
• Preparation and timely submission of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting schedules in accordance with the reporting requirements.
• Maintenance of assigned accounting areas - Fixed assets, Inventory, AR, Intercompany or AP
• Assist in the maintenance of the documentation of all accounting related matters to ensure overall consistency.
• Support the management team to maintain efficient ways of communication and information exchange.
• Prepare audit work papers for assigned areas of responsibility and assist auditors in their inquiries.
• Adhere to SOX internal control requirements. Implement recommendations from Internal Audit.
• Contributes to the achievement of team objectives and deadlines.

• 2+ years of experience in finance/accounting role
• Excellent knowledge of French and good knowledge of English language
• University degree in Finance/ Accounting or similar area;
• Good understanding of US GAAP / French GAAP will be considered a great advantage
• Excellent communication and team work skills
