Application Support Analyst
Buchanan Technologies is looking to grow its team of professionals.

The Application Support Analyst's primary role is to provide administrative and technical support for in-house developed and third-party applications. Other key roles include maintenance and operation of critical business applications and the ability to analyze, diagnose, find root cause of an issue and solve it or escalate the issue to another team or individual. Additionally, the Application Support Analyst should proactively identify issues before they occur which assists in the overall maintenance of the applications. This role will work directly with all levels of employees including having direct contact with clients.

The position requires working on SHIFTS

Job Details:Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and technical support for assigned applications via a ticketing system.
Meet and exceed established service levels for support
Maintain operation, monitoring, and integrity of production, test, and development systems to meet established standards
Coordinate and escalate issues to support teams and third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues
Work closely with IT and Application Development teams for new application installations, releases, and testing
Identify business needs and provide appropriate technical solutions
Create and maintain support documentation for applications
Communicate general events and incidents to employees and management
Act as a subject matter expert for business application systems, and interface between end-users, technical support, and Application Development teams

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with multiple departments to take an issue to resolution
Strong problem solving ability
Ability to work independently
Advanced knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, including Windows 2008/2012 server
Working knowledge of server configurations and web hosting technologies, specifically IIS.
Knowledge and preferably experience working with Powershell, HTML, SQL, CSS, JavaScript, and XML
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking to include printing, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, and port assignment
Ability to use basic command line networking tools like Ping, Ipconfig, Telnet and Nslookup
Ability to use basic troubleshooting tools like Notepad++, Wireshark, and Perfmon
Knowledge of firewall concepts and rules
Knowledge of change management practices

Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3+ years equivalent work experience
Windows Server Certifications a plus
A+ and/or Network+ certifications a plus
