bet365 is a Product company, not an outsource agency, which means that we invest in our product. Our Gaming legacy systems tend to be no older than 2 years. The majority of the work is new Project work, not legacy maintenance tasks and time is allocated alongside project work to remedy technical debt.
There is a lot of experience with the Microsoft technology stack, however a couple of years ago the business started delivering our systems using Golang for it’s scalability and small footprint. We have an internal 12 week mentored training program to cross-train our developers in Golang. We use No-SQL key-value pair databases for scalability and performance, in addition to our standard relational databases.
Our system architecture is in the process of being migrated to a micro-services approach to enable us to scale efficiently into new markets. Our site supports many global regulated markets in 20 languages and 16 currencies. We deliver 100’s of software releases per week. An in-house Design team produce the assets and annotations for the web and mobile sites, and our apps. We also have an in-house Information Security team responsible for penetration testing the products and infrastructure.
