Europol is the European Union law enforcement
organisation that handles criminal intelligence. Its
aim is to improve the effectiveness and cooperation
between the competent authorities of the
Member States in preventing and combating serious
international organised crime. The mission of
Europol is to make a significant contribution to the
European Union's law enforcement action
against organised crime, with an emphasis on
targeting criminal organisations.
Europol is a dynamic multicultural and multi-
professional organisation and provides an
environment which presents many challenges and
opportunities. We are currently looking for a skilled
and experienced applicant to join our team and take
up the position of Information Security Architect.
A significant component of Europol’s mandate is the
development, operations, and maintenance of a
computerised system facilitating the sharing of law
enforcement intelligence among Member
States and with third parties, supporting both
operational and strategic objectives of the
competent Authorities in the Member States. The
computerised system must accompany the entire
life-
cycle of the information managed within Europol,
from collation and validation, through analysis and
elaboration, to dissemination and deletion, in the
respect of all applicable legal and data
protection rules.
